Gary spent a week in Studio B remixing to 5.1 the score to Sony’s new release The Other Boleyn Girl. The score was recorded in Prague by Gary with the services of praguerecording.com. The composer was Paul Cantelon (Everything Illuminated) and the music was produced by Sue Jacobs (Supervision). This film was taken from the popular book and stars Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson.
Director Jonathan Demme recorded source music in Studio C for Jimmy Carter Man From Plains for Real Peace Productions. The session was recorded and mixed by Gary Chester, assisted by Chad Lupo & David Tolomei.
Gary did a 5.1 Surround mix for the film Married Life in studio B for SKE Films. The director is Ira Sachs and the composer is Dickon Hinchliffe. The film stars Pierce Brosnan.
The song "Try Not To Remember" written & performed by Sheryl Crow and recorded at Avatar was nominated for a Gloden Globe Award in the category of Best Original Song - Motion Picture. It was engineered by Gary Chester and produced by Stephen Endelman for the film Home of the Brave directed by Irwin Winkler and starring Samuel L. Jackson & Jessica Biel.
Gary remixed a score written by Wycliffe Gordon in 5.1 for a silent movie Body and Soul directed by Oscar Micheaux in 1925. This incredible score was performed live in Savannah, Georgia and mixed at Avatar. The score was produced by Stuart Math.
