Recent News
- Recorded and mixed Howard Shore's score for the film The
Last Mimzy (New Line Cinema) and tracked the strings for
Roger Waters' song, "Hello (I Love You)," from the film.
- Recorded and mixed the score for The Departed,
which received an Oscar for Best Picture at the 79th Academy
Awards. The original score was composed by Howard Shore.
- Recorded and mixed the score for The Good Shepherd.
The score recording sessions were produced by Bruce Fowler and
the music was composed by Marcelo Zarvos and Bruce Fowler. The
big band recording with Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks Orchestra
was done in Avatar Studios' Studio C.
- In June, recorded the score to the film Ira and Abby
at Avatar Studios B and C and mixed the score in his Avatar surround
mix room, Studio L. The music for the film was composed by Marcelo
Zarvos as a follow up collaboration with writer/actress Jennifer
Westfeldt who's previous hit film Kissing Jessica Stein
was also scored by Zarvos.
- Worked on the music for the American Museum of Natural History
/ Hayden Planetarium's new show called Cosmic
Collisions. The show is narrated by Robert Redford and
just opened in March to great reviews. Lawrence recorded the music
in Prague and did mixes in his room at Avatar. The final mix is
played on 23 full range speakers, a sub channel (feeding 2 dual
driver subs), seat shakers and floor shakers.
